This is a video of a 1961 Comet salesman film comparing it to the 1961 Comet VS Studebaker Lark. This is the original slide show with the original 33-1/3 RPM record sound. Comet dealers would show the slides and play the record for their salesmen to train them about the car and point out how it is better than the competition. Please go to http://www.61thriftpower.com/DVDsales.shtml for a DVD with (4) 1961 salesmen slide films, two TV commercials and 2 radio interviews conducted by Jac LeGoff with Mr Ben D Mills, Vice President of the Ford Motor Company and General Manager of The Lincoln, Mercury, Comet Division.

  • sound like lark bashing to me

  • Darn I shoulda bought a Comet instead of the Lark! The Comet 2 dr hardtop was a good lokking car and a 260 2 bbl V8 was available.

The blown Corvette engine and trans is a goods swap as it's body on frame construction. Check my videos Lark, walk around and Lark, installing Mustang II suspension.

  • My grandma says Lark wasn't a good car to have sex in.

  • The Comet was pretty much on target with everything except their criticism of the long hood/short deck on the Lark, which would become wildly popular in a few years with the Mustang...

  • What happened to the voice of this kind of announcer?

    It is very conservative...

  • Lark was a Studebaker
