This scene reminds me so much of Marie Antoinette with the way it was shot.

  • This, besides Keats' recitation of Bright Star, is probably my favorite scene in the entire movie. The way that it was shot was simply amazing. Toots' presence also provided great humor.

  • There are some similarities between both directors but if anything its rather S.Coppola who somehow emulates the style of Jane Campion not vice versa. On another note, this film is really beautiful and i love how they both freeze whenver Toots turns arounds ..really captures the pureness and inocence of their love.

  • Call me a barbarian here but I think Bradshaw's composition here eclipses Keats poetry.......

  • @iheartjoongie The music is part of the magic of this scene. It's definitely my favorite scene.

  • sometimes this film is so overwhelming i can't even breathe....

  • there is something about Regency era clothing that looks so right in the English landscape.

  • to be honest with you,i'd rather live in a world where people stopped talking nonsense & offered me unlimited mobile use for let's say thirty quid a month, thanks very much.

  • sooooo poetic. a dreamlike atmoshpere, the music is mesmerizing, and the colours are enchanting.

  • A small film from jane campion against this cynical times. Why Campion made this film about this romantic poet? its just an excuse. I found one of the reason in this enigmatic sequence, the umbral of lost of innocence, the first moment toward experience in this proustian universe.

  • @jltoles017 It is by Mark Bradshaw. The song is called Letters and it is the backround to Fanny reciting the letter she wrote to John.
