We can't tell you the location of the airplane crash wreckage of the crashed B-25 Mitchell Bomber due to the pact outlined in part one of this series, but we can show you scenes of the hazardous journey we undertook to reach the airplane crash. We can tell you the route is hard and dangerous, but the prize is great for those who know the secret location, and how to get there. The mountains near Vancouver are deceptively close; but make no mistake, once out there in those remote and inhospitable mountains you are on your own, especially after arriving via a crashing airplane. Suffer an injury, even a minor one, and you may not be coming back alive.

Our incredible journey begins in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on the wild and untamed west coast of North America. We board our DeHavilland Beaver single-engine float plane in Vancouver's downtown harbour and take off, heading east towards the infamous Pitt Lake. We undertake this journey to learn new clues and secrets being held by the wreckage of the now famous B-25 Mitchell bomber.

While in flight, off in the distance, we spot the fabled ice caves of Pitt Lake. Created by the massive snowfalls of the winter months, the snow cascades down the funnel-like cliffs, collecting in a narrow gulley were the suns melting rays can barely penetrate. Even the hottest summers are unable to reduce the huge clump of snow to liquid that will run down to the sea.

Suddenly we spot in the distance what could be the mystical tent-shaped rock, under which a prospector placed a sample of gold from Slumach's Lost Gold Mine. We will return one day to this much talked about oddity and explore yet another unsolved mystery of the Pacific Northwest.

Rock cairns build by unknown people for unknown reasons present themselves to us from time to time telling us that we are not the first human beings to come this way. Who built them and why plagues our minds as we struggle to take in the view from the top of the world.

At last we reach the crash site and search for new clues into the mystery of the Nazi gold and cash that is rumoured to have been here at one time so long ago. We sift through the wreckage with fine-toothed combs, looking for the smallest of details that could tell us the story of the whereabouts of the much sought after treasure.

Due to global warming and the resulting climate change, new clues have been revealed to us. The snow pack covering much of the wreckage has melted, revealing the B-25's cargo hold and the secrets that it has held all these years. For the first time in centuries these remote ridges are ice and snow free and are ready to give up what they hold.

Another body, obviously still buried by snow and missed by the original search and rescue party that first discovered the wreckage, is revealed by the retreating snow pack. Still in civilian clothes but wearing a flight helmet, the body may be identified matching dental records to these teeth. It seems that there was a passenger on board that fateful day in 1953 when this Mitchell bomber went down. Perhaps a member of the special personnel assigned to escort the precious cargo to its destination on the west coast of Canada?

where you landed your airplane seems obvious. full 12-hour day trip on the second day can't be too far from drop off. crash site seems about 1600m+ from the permanent snowfield and sun direction. but i still dont know where it is :-D

Wow, this is so incredible. Here in Fort Worth Texas in 1949, a B36 Peacemaker crashed on takeoff at Carswell AFB, and crashed into Lake Worth which the runway ends at. It killed 4 of the occupants.

I had heard storys about a "Cargo plane" crash on the lake, from my dad growing up. So I researched and found this tragic story of what really happened.

Nice video btw. I hope the remains get identified and returned to the famly of the victim.
