@searching296 I STILL have two old Stevie Sanders albums. One of them is "I'm Happy Now". I can't remember what the other one is. I am in Tn. for the summer; when I get home I'll look for you. Of course, it's been 7 mos since you posted this and another 4 wks until I get back to Fl. before I can check. Reply to this if you're still looking. And, if I forget, reply again about Oct. The song doesn't ring a bell but it's been 35 or 40 years... RIP Steve Sanders. It couldn't have been that bad, Bro!
I use to have some of Steve's records when he was young and dont know what happened to them. I am looking for words to a song Steve sang. Into thy hands I place my life Lord to be used of thee, take my life mold my life use it as you wish to do. Thats all I can remember. Anybody know the words? thanks.
Finally I found him, I have searched all over for the one he did called "Not My Will", from an old 33rpm I had of Little stevie sanders. Wish there were more...thanks for posting akdal
@montanajs I loved hearing "Little Stevie Sanders" sing Crippled Boy's Prayer back in the 1960s. Years later I found the sheet music and sang it as a duet with a female voice singing the verse.
Remember him as a kid growing up in central Georgia. Even went to the same high school... D. Hughes in Macon. Tragic how his life ended .Often Appeared on Gospel singing Jubilee, Had a single hit as a teen " She loves the love I give her" and starred in a couple of movies.
My granny had his Signs Big album and I clearly remember going over to her house on Sundays for dinner with the old console ringing out with " I wont be a cripple boy in heaven".
I went to school with his brother David and Steve started singing at our church "LITTLE STEVIE SANDERS". he also had a sister her name was Susan. They moved out of Centerville after he started acting in movies and tv shows.
He came into our classroom once. I was shocked when i found out he committed suicide after leaving the oakridge boys. I remember before one of the leads he was in the oakridge boy band.
