  • Hi DrCaligari the Duck Gybe is often seen as a progression from the carve gybe but there is no need to master the carve gybe first. Without the need for an early foot change the duck gybe is often more quickly learnt for many people and also helps improve their carve gybes as well. Most people will plane out of more carve gybes than duck gybes. Hope that helps.
