this sounds so cliche as well as everyone elses post. This school is no family. Its politricks, and jealousy that roams the mighty hills on this campus. true enough it needs to stop but there's no emphasis in this video. people didn't come to school to "make friends", they came to further their education and eventually friends will come but FAMU continues to be a battle ground for african americans and all we say in the end.. to each is own.. i wont go into detail about it but point understood

I really like this dude...Preach Brotha!..cause I initially thought that this schools students have little respect too..

I went to Florida A&M before transferring to the University of Maryland College Park. I respect the poster for standing up and insisting that those representing the school stop acting like savages who never had home training. I never experienced more intolerance and clique type foolishness than when I went to this school AND I'M BLACK!! With the fraud (which is not surprising to me since it was going on when I was there) and Champion hazing savageness I'm so glad I got away from that place in 99

@dreamkasts I'll agree to disagree. I definitley respect your opinion, though. Thanks, btw.

@shawniscoolbro continue_ I type rough so after reading please dont feel as if I am swaying this adult debate into an argument. It is just that; two adults expressing opinions. I hope the best for my school I have went to many but FAMU will always be home. I hope all plays out in favor of the school. Best of luck to you in conquering the next three years.

@shawniscoolbro In closing . Since you are a freshman wouldnt it be safe to say that you havent been at the campus long enough to make that call? Would it not also be safe to say that since FAMU is the only college you have ever attended that your opinion of the teachers being great has No merit because you have nothing to compare them to? When you decide to go to graduate school attend a majority white college so you can see just how well FAMU prepared you By no means am i coming down on FAMU.
-
@dreamkasts Exactly in "2007"...I attend FAMU right NOW. So I also can be first in line to tell you..things have changed. Nepotism does play a part..you're absolutely right..but nepotism play a part as in "cafeteria workers, janitors, & librarians"...not as in the professors in the school.(atleast the ones I have came across)

Big ups for this video, but may i add not only FAMU, but all HBCU'S should not post such videos on the internet that brings down the value of the institution and us as a whole. So quick to post negative images of us, i know we do some stupid things sometimes, but we don't have to post it on the web and laugh at it. They already think our HBCU institutions are inferior in the first place.

@shawniscoolbro I graduated from FAMU in 07' not much has changed. I attended University of Alaska for my graduate degree and then obtained my 2nd graduated degree rom Hampton U. So I can compare different colleges and I can be first in line to tell you that Ues Nepotism does play a part at FAMu
I respect you a lot for this. As a FAMU graduate I was upset and felt the exact same way. It definitely needed to be said.

I've seen u around FAMU and I give u much respect for this video. Makes me proud that a black man can stand up and speak on it. Shows how mature u are. Love that!
