@1skycampaign The Earth has had climate changes since the beginning of time. To say we have any involvement in it or we can stop it is arrogance at the top level. If solar and wind were reliable and profitable sources then the power companies would have invested in them 20 years ago and that is what we would have now. CO2 is not a pollutant. It is what we exhale every second. It is good for the earth. It is what makes all plants grow. Common sense shows that all of this is nonsense.
@randoley A) The medieval warming period is discussed in detail at [skepticalscience[dot]com[slash]medieval[dash]warm[dash]period[dot]htm]. B) The climate movement is bigger than Al Gore. C) Two of those articles were opinion pieces, not news, and the third features politicians reacting to the inquiries, which is within their right.
@1skycampaign I don't believe any of it. When the people like All Gore start living like they believe then it I might too. When 100% of the scientists agree I might too. When it's record cold it's "Climate Change". When it's record heat it's "Global Warming". When it's a flood it's "Climate Chaos" I'd love to win an argument by changing the terms to suit what ever is being said.
@1skycampaign How about The Telegraph(Climategate: the final nail in the coffin of 'Anthropogenic Global Warming)Real Clear Politics{ClimateGate: The Fix is In) The Canada Free Press (Official inquiries into the ‘Climategate’ scandal ‘unsatisfactory’) Why is no one who backs Global Warming/Climate Change/Climate Chaos willing to explain the warmer temps during the medieval period? Surely that wasn't caused by all of the peasants driving their SUV's too. what about the rising temps on Mars?
@randoley To the naming question, "global warming" was what it was called until opponents of taking action (yes) started calling it "climate change" in an effort to rebrand it to sound less menacing. Of course, that also describes well how AGW is more complex than just change in temperatures. "Climate chaos" is a reference to the significant and serious disruption that climate change is already causing across the globe. No one is backing away from any of these terms, at least not over here.
@randoley True. I just thought that'd be easier than listing more.
How about the Guardian (headline: "'Climategate' review clears scientists of dishonesty over data"), Bloomberg Businessweek ("’Climategate’ Scientists Cleared of Manipulating Data"), Reuters ("Science untarnished by "Climategate", UN says"), CNN ("Climategate' review clears scientists of dishonesty"), or the Wall Street Journal ("Report Backs Climate Data, Scolds Scientists")?
@1skycampaign Wikipedia is not a trusted source of information. Anyone can go into it and write whatever they wish. Man made Global Warming/Climate Change/Climate Chaos is a myth. The fact that the name for it keeps changing is proof enough. What will the false crisis be called next year when reality continues to disproof the pseudoscience?
@randoley Thanks for the suggestion. This is what Wikipedia said:
"Three investigations into the affair were initiated in the UK, two of which were concluded by the end of March 2010, with the remaining review releasing its findings on 7 July. ...The investigations concluded that there was no evidence of scientific malpractice and Jones was cleared of any scientific misconduct."
