In Woodstock, Ontario an innovative food program is helping feed those in need with quarters. The Food for Friends program takes 25 cent donations from patrons at major local grocery stores and then puts the money on food cards for low-income residents and families to buy non-taxable grocery items. Up to 1000 people per month are being fed with quarters.
