Really, the only reason that somebody would knock on Jeff's skill is because of misplaced nostalgia. I particularly like was Jesse did with Liberate, had a unique random sound to it... but yea, Jeff is beyond solid. Frankly, Jeff is a guy you want in the band, even keeled and very intelligent, Jesse had a lot of emotions going on that kind of interfered.

@tool2scream05 he's fantastic. Jesse was awesome but not in overall ability but in what he chose to do to complement the songs they wrote, while jeff has more speed and skill, plus he knows how to write his parts too. i love both and this is the only vs battle that i decide not to choose one over the other, but jeff is great. he may not be like the others, but you can't say he is nowhere near, a 3 year old would be nowhere near but not a porffessional rock drummer like jeff.

What i dont understand is that you are comparing jeff to steven and jesse. Jeff's style of playing is completely different then steven and jesse. and as far was them not being as good as they used to be. zao has changed, grown, every album sounds different and has a different tone to it. you cant even compare their new stuff to their old, because its different its all different but fits zao perfect.

Are we really calling Jeff Gretz an amazing drummer? He's okay. He's far from great. In fact, ZAO is far less the band they used to be with him in the lineup. He's nowhere near as good as Jessie or Steven.

I know they're like never coming back, but he kicked ass when he was drumming for From Autumn to Ashes, check it out, if you haven't heard of the band, Jeff Gretz is talented hands down, lol take care

Jeff is such a boss drummer. It's a shame that he wasn't able to audition with Dillinger. He needs to be in that band

1st! I heart watching Gretz drum, but think he looks like Fred Schneider circa Rock Lobster.
