@eliphant8 Actually, if Lydia is hit whilst she id down she may die, but that can only happen if a spell is accidentally directed at her or if an arrow goes off track or even if the dragonborn attacks her. (I had Lydia die because my Ice Form went through a frost troll and hit her, and one of my other followers died during a misdirected Unrelenting Force...). In short, she can die.

To stop you worrying, Lydia never dies, she gets knocked down but that's it, you may also use her to train on if you really wish but she may leave you. If you did not know this "thumbs up" so everyone else knows.
