Approach and landing at Johnson Creek airstrip - 3U2 - in the Idaho backcountry with my Super Stinson 108-2.
This is a serene place that offers it all! Wonderful camping, BBQing, hiking, fishing and plane gazing. Also, don't forget to take the short hike to the hot springs tub, it's worth the effort. Hazards including density altitude, obstacles, valley / mountain weather, and too much fun. Please proceed with caution and make sure the weather is on your side, early mornings or late evenings are the best time to fly.
Also, please support the IAF and the RAF, as they aid in keeping these beautiful places open to backcountry pilots.
If you enjoy my clips, please let me know. Thanks
Filmed with a Kodak Playsport (sorry for the bad camera noise).
that was awesome!
