Name: Agitator
Game: Armored Core 4
Developer: From Software
Year of Release: 2006
Composer: Kota Hoshino

I admit, I've never been into ANYTHING involving giant mechas other than Zone of Enders, but imagine my surprise when hearing this rather melancholy but determined piece from Armored Core 4, a game in a series I know even less about.

Across a sun-glistening wasteland where a facility lies, there is danger upon the horizon, the enemy mechas close in like spiders towards their prey. It all depends on you and your small but skilled mercenary squad to take them down and protect the innocents, all to the fitting accompaniment of bells and a morose synth combined with a determined bass riff. Stunning.

  • The song for the credits, "Thinker", adds singing. I still loved this song durring this mission, such a great choice.

  • @Blackhart9 It does!? Awesome I gotta find it, I wondered where that version would be, thanks!

  • You do seem to like this series XD

  • @Piledriver86 Actually I never played any of them dude :P I just have this one song from it, you might be thinking of something else XD

  • @FinalGamerJames ...ooh wait, it was Wild ARMS I was thinking of

  • @Piledriver86 Which is thankfully an RPG series despite its title and not a game about controlling meches X3 no worries

  • I borrowed and played one of the Armored Core games that came out near the beginning of the PS2's lifespan. It wasn't a great game, per se, but I did love the extensive customization that was possible for one's mech.

  • Epic song is epic.
