The U.S had been building there Forces for World war since 1930. America was planning for war with Britain & her Empire. However when WW2 brokeout the U.S wanted Britain to win against the Axis powers, So America could make profit and had vital TIME to build there military and learn from Modern war. Lucky for the U.S they got there TIME to build and profit, However Phillipines & Pearl Harbour disaster messed up plans, Also the unstoppable Red Army and Communism, Also Britains new enemies.

@ModellMeister We don't harvest ice, you yanks are the ones who call back bacon "Canadian" bacon, and I just told you we don't kill baby seals, we kill a certain number of adult ones because their natural predators are endangered species, and because of their exploding numbers (10 times that of 50 years ago) the fish they and other species eat are threatened with being over-fished, so to prevent more species form becoming endangered we control the seal population, nothing wrong with that.
