Nice gig in Balingen in the south of Germany. The Kilaueas were headliner this evening at the Subchord Festival. Thanks to Balingen audience.

  • Great song, great playing. I can't tell from the video but what kind of guitar is the guitarist on the right playing? Right if you are looking at him from the audience? Thanks.

  • Thanks! That`s me on the right. It`s a blue sparkled Squier Supersonic from `97 (the "Vista" series).

I pimped it up with 2 new "American Vintage" Jazzmaster Pickups and new own designed pickguard. One Mustang 3way switch and 2 black witch hat knobs for volume and tone.

    Perfect surfguitar now!

Those old Squier Supersonics are fantastic guitars! Get one if you find one!!!

Even the old Squier Jagmasters are great! (but only the Japan made "Vista" Series!)

    Twang greetings!

  • Thanks for the reply. Man awesome sound you have. I love Jazzmaster pickups so I guess with that guitar it would sound great and it does! Do you use flatwounds or roundwounds on it? Thanks.

  • Thanks! Yes, with this specials you have a scale length of a Jaguar with the sound of a Jazzmaster. I play roundwounds on it. But it sounds good with flats or rounds!

Yesterday I got another video posted where I play the Supersonic as lead guitar. Check out if you`re interested.

    Twang cheers!

  • Hallmark thanks for posting the other video. I watched it a few times. That's a great looking and sounding guitar. I have a Cort JC67 I bought in 1998 for $229 USD. It's gold sparkle, Bigsby, and has two P90s. Sounds nice but I'm considering putting some Jazzmaster pickups in it even tho I have a JM already. I have flatwounds on the JM so with the Cort I'll have rounds so I can have a JM sound with both flats and rounds for variet. Not sure I'll do it or not tho. Thanks.
