its not out of place....he is trying to make it sound like bossa nova....that's why is a little diferent from the original....its jay kay saying his thanks for brazilian music....hehehehehe

Brazilian funk for brazilians....Did you know that Jay Kay's biological father is Portugese. Maybe thats the reason why the brazilian element are very present in the Jamiroquai music.
