Me and my significant other constantly argue and fight...he's constantly saying things under his breath insinuating he will move out or cut the relationship off. I have gotten to the point where I just say ok. It seems as if he says these things right after he doesnt get his way. Thus...making me want to challenge him or simply tell him go ahead and leave.I keep hoping that he will get past this. Will he ever stop this behavior?
Well my concept is between My Step dad, and My Mom. They're arguing because my dad has been promising that he'll come earlier than he says. He's basically one of the Top bosses of his bussiness. He has to meet a lot of people but my mom understands that he has to do that. But everynight he does it, She just wants him at least 1 night to be at home and be a Family. She has been yelling, ect. And he said he's has enough, He's now thinking of moving and we have to move. He makes all the money ect.
I have these problems with my gf, Your advice has been very helpfull but what if your partner doesnt agree to disagree and the arguments carry on? any advice on that?
It takes 2 to argue (unless you're the guy in Fight Club)...
So if you stop arguing, your partner will have no one to fight with.
The trick is to keep your ego in check - it's not your heart that needs to be right, only ego! Recognize that you will not die if your partner thinks they are right and you are wrong. It's OK to be considered wrong by another person...
This is somewhat true. Some people have the amazing ability to argue with the wall or the back of a person. How do you deal with the person who responds to silence with continuing to argue?
You couldnt be more right! me and my gf were arguing and she got really mad over nothing really well thats what I thought and after watching this I just accepted it and even thought I thought i was right I said sorry and told her I was wrong and it was all my fualt and that i dont want to fight. now we are making up. Thank you (:
guys, you r totally right ,, unfortunately, i realised that after i reached the point in which i hated to see any one around me , even once i thought to live in a world where no one else lives with me,,, people are always bullshit ,, i guess i shouldn't ever have shared any thoughts with them
when yousit still and give the silent treatment that is a way of manipulating the conversation... you want her to stop yelling at you so you dont listen... real smart
