trailer for the 1965 italian movie "The 10th Victim" directed by Elio Petri. A campy futuristic tale where people hunt one another for sport. In this film, Victim and Hunter run around Italy trying to score a kill in front of the movie crews they arranged so they could make commercials from the footage.

I've never seen this, but the victims were being killed for a sort of reality TV show, I believe - WAY before reality TV shows existed in reality.

I suppose the distributor didn't quite know how to sell this picture to American audiences. The trailer tries to present the film as a comedy in the vein of all the spy spoofs that were being made in the 60s, when it was actually a futuristic social satire with elements of dark humor.

Well said. although while far from a zany spy spoof this amazing film does make me laugh out loud quite a bit.
