I found there were not a lot of videos showing how to clean a pellet stove so here is my version. This is a Whitfield pellet stove that is about 5 - 7 years old.

    Don't you pull the surround off, the stove out enough to get to the blower and clean it? I would think that would be an important step to prolong the life.

    twice a year I like to rip it completely apart and get to the blower and other moving parts. The auger is another very important spot to get the dust and broken up pellets.

    One of those filter less vac's do the trick. The ones with the cup u take out and dump. No leakage from those. Yes I do wait until the ash is cooled before cleaning.
