steampunk jewelry by ClockworkZero - a very detailed piece that has a beautifully engraved balance. The hairspring on it is intact and the balance wheel spins easily as it gets touched by a finger. The engraving is also on part of the movement plate - and the fine patterning on metal is also called Damaskeening.
As with much of my work - I love to use beautiful charms. This one has a sea-monster fish in sterling silver - which is in front of a hand-tinted gear taken from an old pocket watch. The gear is sealed with a clear coat finish that has tiny bubbles - which I created to enhance the underwater theme. The Balance Wheel represents the ship's wheel.
Continuing the water theme is a bit of lapis set in sterling silver. That brilliant blue just adds to the piece and gives it a dash of colour. There is also a some lovely little gears from various watches scattered about the piece.
I've got it listed on my etsy site: www.clockworkzero.etsy.com - for as long as it lasts. It is a very unique piece of steampunk jewelry, and the balance wheel should spin for a long time with a bit of care.
sorry there is no music or anything dramatic. I focus on my jewelry and haven't learned to much about music/videos. I tend towards the practical in videos. (but if someone wants to let me know how to edit I can give it a go!)
Cheers
Zero

You can find tons of antique and vintage supplies on eBay! Just look under "steampunk, altered art findings/supplies, Jewelry making supplies, broken vintage jewelry, antique/vintage keys, antique/vintage optical lens, typewriter keys, vintage chain, etc. There is an abundance and some dealers specialize in selling only steampunk supplies. Have fun!
