I contacted SONY and i will be recieving my refurbished replacement on the 29th December 2008.My warranty expired but for some strange reason, they didnt give me a price for how much to fix it, they just said, they will bring me a replacement on the 29th, il be making a video when i recieve my refurbished PS3 and tell you what happens.

Respond to this video... I wish my ps3 could work again. I keeping coming home from school, and turn the ps3 on only hoping it would magically start again. I want play video games so much. I miss having a job and money. If had a job, I could get my ps3 fixed soon, books, and transportation to get to school. Now, it's difficult to find a job. So I aiming low, hopefully I get hired by those dude and wave advertisement arrows on the sidewalk. :(

After me sayin my ps works after being put in the oven, this did make it work...... It's back to the YELLOW LIGHT OF DEATH... This did solve my problem. But only got about 5 hrs use...

if you want to know, Sony knew bout the design flaws causing all these apparently for no reason dead Ps3. there were major design flaws in the system, they knew about but shipped product anyone knowing they would make billions in profits while millions of ps3s broke for apparently no reason, while the customers the hard paying customers LOSE their several hundred dollar investment. this calls for a class action lawsuit against sony due to their selling us millions of defectively designed ps3s
