No matter what the wattage of the new PSU is, your system will still only draw what it needs. And if the new PSU is MORE efficient than the old one, a new PSU can actually be cheaper to operate (all other things being equal)...it could even be FREE (or "less than free") to upgrade, if you figure out your savings over the life of the new PSU...

I wuz considerin gettin 1 of these but then I realised that the electricity bill would be through the roof! Our kettles only 1000w!!!! Its like constantly boiling water in a kettle!
