@johnpmackenzie yah, i was thinking about that too but i am not sure if i would want one on top. if there was a way to get a camera that could be eye level, will have to keep looking, but the riot shield would be funny.

@kspencertheobald I think there is a rule somewhere about see through shields. :-) I've got a threaded nut for a camera mount built into my new helm to get the camera above the eye/shield level. I just need to build the protective rig and hide it in some form of helm crest.

@SyrLogan i am thinking about getting a riot shield so you can see things with my helmet camera videos, instead of just the back of my shield.

@TheLoneOnion The group is the SCA, you can go to the website, sca.org and find your local group. Rattan can be purchased at several places, but Ice Falcon Armoury is where i get most of mine. He sales only SCA thickness Rattan. Armour is another story altogether, you will have to find out your local kingdoms rules for minimum armour requirements. But its not to different from the society as a whole. Good luck, and have fun!

oh if only there wasn't so many spears, I wish I could see some more close quarters sword combat :D I live an Canada and I am just wondering how I can get involved in this and wear I can pick up the correct Rattan (?) weapons for it. I know where to get the Armour easy enough, I assume most battle ready medieval Armour is acceptable? If someone could get back to me with some information I would appreciate it, Thanks

This is a great way to shoot the battle! I can see me in the 7:30's - :40's on the right with the big white heater. I wish I had painted my arms on it!

We had a spear with a squeak toy at the tip covered by spongebob fabric so the last thing you saw when you were hit was spongebob squeaking in your face XD
