@tipthesurf "Salsa" means sauce IN SPANISH, but not IN (american) ENGLISH. Just as pesto is not just paste and sombrero is not a word for "hat."

I like squirrels :)

nut-theiving tree rat.... a classy insult if I've ever heard one X3
rock on AB!

utilized them, most of it went rancid and I had to discard it. :( I've often wanted to make pesto before and since but the expensive of pignoli nuts discouraged me. Why shell out good money for something rarely used? But if pistachios can be used instead, sign me up for it! Thanks, AB!

@tipthesurf But that's like saying salsa means sauce...

interesting how cuisine evolves over time. Season 7 was back in 2003, and AB says you can find Panko breadcrumbs in the ethnic aisle. Most modern supermarkets I've seen, including the one I work in, now have Panko breadcrumbs in the breadcrumb section.

Almond milk is fairly easy to find in a typical grocery store (for that matter, so is almond flour), and it's quite delicious.

I'm from Hawaii and I've never heard of macadamia nuts with mango or marshmallows. Doesn't sound bad, but sometimes Alton's cultural research is as bad as his pronunciation of foreign words. Mac-nut pesto is good too by the way.

@tipthesurf, .....3 YEARS LATER, thanks for that I didn't know :) and after three years I can't believe nobody actually replied.

towards the end did they forget to add in the music?

pesto only means paste, it has nothing to do with what's in it.
