  • Tyrannous new morality? As though equal marriage rights were a form of oppression of all involved and, of course, uninvolved.

  • @Jakegothicsnake

Did you actually read my comment? I didn't say no-one would be upset, I said EVERYONE would. There would chants from all around the country about religious "intolerance" etc etc etc. Also, I wasn't saying that all christians are like this, not sure how you got that from my comment. I was just pointing out the massive social bias in your favour if your beliefs happen to fit under the umbrella term of "religion".

  • @GodTheHypothesis What makes you so certain that nobody would be upset at a gay hotel owner for not allowing a christian to stay at his/her establishment? There is such a thing as a gay christian, and there is such a thing as a christian who is tolerant /and/or accepting of gay people. It isn't always so black and white.

Oops, I didn't make that connection when I first wrote the comment, maybe I should have been more careful in my wording of it! :P

  • @Tlevids he's homosexual, and would probably fuck himself if he could

  • can't believe this got so many claps, and 80 likes! since when was protecting people from discrimination and giving them equal rights(not more rights as he would like to think) but equal rights,a tyranny.

  • @aoneill89

    Where's the irony?

  • What a ridiculous point! Just because it's a religion, it has the right to have its bigotry supported by the law?

We all know with absolute certainty that if it had been the reverse (a gay hotel owner not allowing christians), not a single person would argue in its defense. And rightly so!

  • @Tlevids the irony!

  • bit confused about starkey's stance. one minute he is saying he is a gay atheist and that has influenced his political views but at the same time he said that we shouldnt impose a "liberal morality" on people to accept gay people. anyway i dont get why christians hate gay people. nowhere in the bible does it say that being gay is morally wrong or a sin. so in my opinion no excuse for that business to refuse these people other than ignorant homophobia
