Except that the people we've been torturing in Guantanamo aren't al-qaida operatives, let alone terrorists. Increasingly, they're being found completely innocent. And so your argument is silly, because it ignores the law--and aren't we a nation of laws? Because you're slow on the up take, the answer is "Yes", we are.

The problem with your reasoning, Fred, is that torture does not work. Multiple studies have determined this. Why is it that the only Republican candidate who has any right to talk about torture is the one who is most vehemently against it? John McCain is the only one who truly knows both sides of this issue....maybe the others should listen to him!

Well you not forced to read my "bullshit" so if you believe torture is something that can be entered into willingly then I will support that type of torture. I hear in Nevada you can actually pay to be tortured, so have it if you want.
BTW; check your calendar; it is not 1700 and plenty of people who would have been slaves then now are running around free, even participating in our democracy. Perhaps you better get started rounding them up so we can reset the clock.

If there been no trails,how can they be innocent? These terrorists were found on the battle field, with no flag, no uniform, no country supporting them! So the Geneva convention does not apply to them! I suggest you read more on the Geneva convention! What laws do terrorists follow? Answer NONE! Wake-up!
