@100roberthenry Yes, it's sensitive to ambient light. My goal was to make a kind of a mood lamp that will be a cube made of translucent acrylic glass and will be sensitive to touching. The way to (partially) reduce the influence of other light sources is to calculate the mean and variance on the base of n last measurements.
If the variance is great enough, then you know that you are dealing with some kind of motion.
Of course it would be sensitive to (for example) switching light on and off.
hi is this sensitive to ambient/sun light etc...and will it sense in the dark too...
i'm looking for a sensor that will gradually light an led the nearer you get to it and dim the farther away...but in all light conditions?...cool project btw!.
