i only found a few songs that were good, because GOOD rap has ben buried by these sucky ones.

like one is about thinking if he should REALLY become a drug dealer, thinking about the horrors he would witness, then decided he should instead go against these drug dealers and pimps. it's called This Is My Dream. it's not some garbage about his awesomeness or cars, and is actually a touching story.

Dude is so off. Lil Wayne does not belong in the three examples you listed, people don't love his music just because he's "in," Lil Wayne is so smart and creative with his wordplay and talent. As are many other rappers. I can understand why you would say T-Pain or Soulja Boy, they really do suck. Not Lil Wayne. You're right, his music doesn't necessarily have meaning to it...but who cares.? He talks about shit people like nowadays, and his talent and skill are amazing.

Actually, AUTOTUNE was not meant to be an effect. It is a correction tool used to correct pitch and key of singers during recording sessions. It simply saves time and keeps the singer from having to redo a whole vocal to fix a small imperfection. I personally cant stand autotune because its not new. AUTOTUNE is simply the new VOCODER when used as an effect. People have been using vocoder way before T-pain was ever even thought of.
