New York Auto Show: Dodge Challenger SMS 570X

Built by Steve Saleen and SMS supercars, both of these Challengers have 700HP!!!!!!! Both are also 1 of 500 built. Fast and rare, what could be better!?!

Damn, normally i dont like purple cars, but that challenger is sexy!! 700hp is insane too! What are the 0-60 times and 1/4 miles on these babies?

0-60= 3.2

1/4 mile= mid 12s

Whoah, that's a pretty fast 0-60, but what's with the quarter mile? You'd think it'd be at least 11's for such a powerful car

I'm sure the car can run mid 11s. They haven't fully tested the car yet. Dodge has only done a few runs with the car and came up with times from 11.90-12.60 so more testing needs to be done before they can claim an actual time.

The NRHA did away with the 1/4 mile so who cares but us old gearheads? 0-60 has been the bench mark for street geeks for years.

If you don't like purple cars you surely don't like Dodge, Chysler, or Plymouth muscle cars from the 60s-70s. A purple 70 Cuda is iconic.
