I use my mobile phone for unlimited internet , from 15 pounds a month on 3 network
.
Its much cheaper my max speed reached 7.2 mb ( off peak) in pick times is around 1.4 mb

Its because ur modem uses a different type of technology. (HSPA/HSUPA Or HSPA+)
