russian pointe sapfir show off

This is just to show my new pointe shoes. I know I just got my Grishko Maya IIs recently, but this was a unique occasion to get my hands on russians (they don't sell them where I live), so I'll just keep them until my Mayas are dead. :)

They are Russian Pointe Sapfir and are the most beautiful pointe shoes I ever saw in my entire life.

You are really great on pointe but your shoes are bubbling a bit. Bubbling is where your arch is great, but the area of the shoe where the ball of your feet are is still straight. And you could also make you feet look even prettier if you push over your box more. I've always wanted russian pointes.

@1238ilovetodance ah, thanks for explaining. i guess it's because they were completely new and super hard, pointe shoes need some time to be broken in and follow the movement and form of the foot completely. :) unfortunately these didn't work for me, so i gave them away.

when your dance store doesn't sell russian shoes but can order them, how do you know what size, width, shank, and vamp to get? I need russian shoes because they are hard and I have tried Freed, Capezio and bloch and they all die to fast. Do you think you could help me?

Hi! Great feet! I have kind of the same feet as you, and something that will do you a TOTAL justice is to freaking break the shanks like heck!!! Bend them will all your might, and then your feet will look like Svetalan Zakarova's feet in no time!!

These shoes look beautiful on your feet just make sure not to sit back into the box. It is not very noticeable, but I think your feet would look even more gorgeous if you push over the top of the box a little more. This will really compliment your arch.

@primaballerina1111 theres no such thing as "regular pointes". Russians are just a type of pointe shoe, like Grishko of Bloch(: (This is what I've heard, anyway. If I'm wrong, can someone correct me?)
