  • @brianhyde63 I agree. I think marriage is in heaven.

  • By the way, I am an independent Christian and not a Mormon.

  • Do you really believe that salvation desexes humanity? I dont. I believe we will retain our sexuality in heaven because our sexuality is what makes us what we are--male or female--body and soul and spirit which we know is to be understood as a unity.

  • Consider: we were made in the image of God, male and female, and when God had finished he said it was very good. Secuality and sexual difference is very good according to God. So why should it not be very good in Heaven to be male and female? The Bible is full of the language of marriage. God ordained marriage and sanctioned the very first union between Adam and Eve if that can be understood as de facto marriage. Do you think that He will divorce Adam and Eve in Heaven?

  • I think this is a genuine response to a wrong interpretation of what Jesus actually said. How can Christians make a doctrine out of one text? It is what Christ did not say that is important.

The implication is that there would not marriage or giving in marriage like it is on earth. Check out how the Saducess framed their question. Jesus answered according to the context in which the question was asked.

  • Obviously none of these guys has lost his spouse. Crappy nod to "A Grief Observed" as well.

  • there will be no marriage in heaven, because in heaven we will all be like brothers and sisters which erase the need for marriage and we would be with god forever
