brake drum forge. no need to mess on with all the pipework two drums bolted back to back and an induction hose from a car (as its heat proof) the bottom hub acts as a plenum chamber and allows ash to fall free not blocking the air supply. this footage was a test of the air flow... still managed to heat a solid steel rivet cherry red !!! and it cost me a massive 42p (for a lighter)

  • very nice job, but next time try not to use charcoal briquettes, they give off too much ash and clinker.

    Go to agway and get some anthracite coal, along with lump charcoal. Light the lump charcoal and slowly mix in the coal.
