The Schielhau "Squinting Hew"

There is no step in Ringecks glossar mentioned at all, just as in Zornhau. Try it without a step and twist the hips into the oncoming blow, you end up squinting and the technique works well. You will notice that all the so called master hau's are first presented as an Indes response to an attack and therefore they are defensively used. You assume a step probably because of Ringecks early advise. In MHO this is a incorrect assumption.

It would be nice to see the blades. Next time please use a different background !

@dragatus It's not just you; I'm having a bit of difficulty, myself. I love MEMAG's work; they always produce easy to understand work, but the background on this one needs to be a bit different to make it easier to see.

Ah thanks guys! I was having one heck of a time thinking of a schielhau with Meyer's description!

Google translator?

It seems to be just me, but I have problems following the blades with that background. Also, the too bright sky is a distraction. It's a pitty because it seems to be a good video otherwise, but because of the things I mentioned I am unable to really see what is going on in it.

Nice video. We have a different take on the schiel, which we will have to film and put up, but I like what you've done with this version.
