Syreeta came to Motown in 1967, "I Cant Give Back The Love I Fell For You" was her first single under the name Rita Wright, her first LP "Syreeta" was released in 1971 or 72, Stevie Wonder Presents Syreeta was released in 1974, even tho thier marrage didnt last they remained good friends up untill her passing in 2004 here i play "Spinning & Spinning Around" my favorite song from the LP

One of my all-time favorite Artists, and a sadly missed singer who never got her just due at stardom. This album was like a beautiful suite of mellow music given life by Syreeta's elegant vocals and the songs she and Stevie wrote together. The whole thing was and is a masterpiece.

Rest In Peace, Syreeta. I'll never forget you.

This is one of the most underestimated songs of the past 50 years. I remember hearing it on radio back in the 70's. It was magical. A very, very rare piece of perfection.

Only a few singers can do this justice. Why it didn't become a mega classic is beyond my understanding.

I can imagine if Streisand, Hudson, or Houston had done this song.

@on7allday No they had no children. Aisha was born in 1976 to a woman Stevie never married. Hence the need to write and realease "Isnt She Lovely"

I don't know why some other singer hasn't jumped at the chance to make this a huge hit that it is. Then again I don't know why it wasn't the hit Syreeta made it. With Stevie's help one would think her stardom was a shoein. But I like it too, that we who love her are devoted as we are to find her again here. Thanks for the music Syreeta!

@on7allday That is a common mistake, Ms. Aisha's mother is named Yolanda. It is her that is heard with Stevie on the track ''Isn't She Lovely'', recorded long after their divorce---On a side note to Motown Master, no disrespect, but could you possibly put your commentary alone in your profile,if your doing this for the enjoyment of those who click on i believe everyone would just as soon get to the music. I bought this album from a friend way back in the 70's and have lost it. I've been trying to get it on cd ever since but no one seems to have it at a decent price. I'll keep trying. One of my favorite album. Beautiful singer and a sad loss. RIP Syreeta
