Pauletta Carol Kohlstaedt of Lee's Summit, Missouri died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 in an automobile accident in Lafayette County. Pauletta Carol Kohlstaedt was born on January 19, 1949 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Paul and Carolyn (Rodenberg) Schlapper. She married Gary Kohlstaedt on March 18, 1967 in Napoleon, MO. Mrs. Kohlstaedt was a homemaker and a member of Summit Woods Baptist Church in Lee's Summit, MO. Surviving are her husband, Gary Kohlstaedt, of the home. Three children: Christopher Allen Kohlstaedt and wife, Elizabeth of Lee's Summit, MO; Angela Gaylene Zehnder of Independence, MO; and Aimee Dawn Orender, and husband, Mark of Lee's Summit, MO. Her parents, Paul and Carolyn Schlapper of Sunrise Beach, MO, formerly of Napoleon, MO. Eight grandchildren: Christopher Kohlstaedt, Lindsay Zehnder, James Murray, Leigh Ann Zehnder, Kurt Zehnder, Tyler Orender, Alyssa Carol Orender, and Evan Orender and a future great-grandson. One brother, Gail Schlapper of Sunrise Beach, MO. Two sisters: Janice Johnson and husband, Don of Blue Springs, MO and Noraleen Hord and husband, Gary of Jefferson City, MO, and many nieces and nephews. The memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Summit Woods Baptist Church in Lee's Summit, MO with Reverend Ryan Bowman officiating. Music was provided by Dawson Bryant, Rob Bliss and Kandy Jackson. Honorary casket bearers were Jason Preston, Jeremy Preston, Tim Johnson, Paul Schlapper, Kurt Zehnder, James Murray, Christopher Kohlstaedt and James McDonald. Memorials may be made to the church's Children's Ministry. Funeral arrangements were made by Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington, MO. The Christmas Story presented by the Preschool and Children's Choirs of Summit Woods Baptist Church was dedicated in loving memory of Pauletta Kohlstaedt on December 14, 2008. The songs playing during the photo slideshow at the beginning of the video are "Dancing With The Angels" by Monk and Neagle, "Goodbye For Now" by Kathy Troccoli, "Looking For Him" by Freedom Gospel Music Group, and "Take It To Jesus" by Freedom Gospel Music Group.
