go go go kate moenning!!!!!!! i think we must have more mature mind and realize that kate moennig is an actress and a very good one...she deserves respect and admiration for doing a very good job with her acting...i don't think she deserves any foul comments from any of us who are just recipients of her versatility as an actress...i suggest that we do not become judgemental and be realistic that kate moenning is an actress who is well loved by her fans

@surfychik Yes, but even then, you always know who those straight people are dating because that's one aspect of your life that you hide only if you're ashamed of it. I'm not saying she has to make a big circus out of it, but not coming out is just ridiculous.

She's already typecast as a lesbian/tomboy, her job offers are pretty limited as it is. Whether she comes out of the closet or not, I don't think she'll ever play a completely feminine straight woman.

@deanriam it just puts a limitation on the job offers she would receive. Don't get me wrong, I would love nothing more then to hear that yes she is gay and she would happily stand up and be more of a lesbian icon for girls around the world. But at the end of the day it's her choice and there are straight people that do not talk about their private life.

@surfychik1 What a joke! Coming out wouldn't hurt her career one bit. In everything I've seen her in she's either a lesbian, a tomboy, a woman pretending to be a man, hell, she even played a transexual male in SVU. What damage do you think a career like that could suffer from coming out?

@deanriam they choose to stay in the closet so that they can get roles in other shows like this! If you actually watched the L word you may have had an insight to this dilemma! They shouldn't have to deal with it, and you shouldn't care either way, have respect for the work that she does and the difference that she HAS made in or out of the closet.

Don't judge someone until you know that person. And as far as I am concerned you do not know her in any personal kind of way. You only know her as the girl from TV. So you do not know whether she is ashamed or not. It may be true. But do not assume those kind of things if you do not know her.

I know what entertainment business is like. And people do have a choice. And you don't want to understand that. If I was famous I wouldn't wanna tell my private life. But that doesn't make me ashamed of who I am in private.

Sucks for them that it's not their choice to make, I'm just telling you how the entertainment business works. Despite how private they want to be, people have interest in their private lives. If you're too stupid to understand that, then that's your problem.

And for the record, I couldn't give less of a shit if this woman is gay or straight, I'm saying that if she doesn't like addressing her sexuality, then she's clearly ashamed of it, which makes her either gay or undefined, it's that simple.

They deal with it by making a choice: Whether to keep their private life private or to make their private life public. First one is the better choice for themselves. Second is better choice for fucked up kids like you.
