I hate LED... is not real technology! is just a @#$ trick that let the LCD appear with better color.. but in reality is just a trick.. same trick that use the new apple displays.. the real new technology using light will be OLED.. but that's the future.. as for now.. the best technology for LCD is still S-IPS.. which the hitachi ultrathin use and my 30 inches DELL monitor. learn the facts my friends.
just stay away from this years model. for example, i have a rear projection big ass sony that's going on 2 years and still does great football. getting one of these 46 8000 samsungs now for the bedroom (the price is down because the 8500+ series are all the rage). i expect both to run for a long time without me feeling any envy.
Maybe they should spend a little less time on the design of their TV's and a lot more time improving reliability. They are the most unreliable brand by far.
yes but in other small products, we are talking about OLED's, Organic Light Emitting Diode, which would mean no LCD. The molecules would emit light by it self. Alot of companies are making it a marketing strategy by saying LED so everyone could easily understand.
LED tv is not really led tv....it's just LCD with LED backlighting instead of using traditional florescence light...this is why they can make it so thin....switching lcd to led is like switching florescence light to led light to save enerygy....it's a marketing ploy....REAL LED TV is not possible in a regular TV because of the big size of the led...real led are the ones you see on billboards in cities like NY.
LED TV will not become obsolete by the time you get it home. Think about it...how many U.S. homes have LED TV? I'm sure the number is very small, therefore, will be years before LED TV becomes outdated. They cost more than computers, much more!
See what happens to samsung tv's just out of warranty. Put samsung tv clicking into a google search to see what kind of junk there selling.

It's good that they have touch of color gray, don't like alot of red on a tv.
