@Lilmiket1000 I had the opposite with mine, my driver side ripped. passenger side has 210,000mi and is fine. they made this way harder on themselves than they had to. they took the whole hub off the strut, you dont have to. literally one bolt & one nut is all you have to remove. remove bolt holding the lower control arm to the ball joint & push arm down. remove the nut that holds the axle in the hub and tap it out with a hammer while pulling hub out & back with your hand. 45 min remove & replace

Question. This is really common! My metro with 108,000 miles has the same problem. My passenger side axle boot is broken all the grease has come out and needs to be replaced. its always the passenger side. its gotta be something causing this! ive seen it also throughout the internet. always the passenger side,

well we put the tranny in and all the gears work except 4th so we can't figure out what's wrong...it's really stiff to shift. in all the gears...I can get into 1st,2nd,3rd, but forth wont go in when i'm driving it. and reverse works 4th works when i'm siting still. do u have any idea's why this is...
thanks Linda

@lindacrnll Well the old transmission on the metro would do that on first gear for some reason. no clue why it would be. my guess is check the clutch cable make sure its adjusted properly

i put a rebuilded tranny in my geo metro and put the axels back in and only one side is turing when you start the car jacked up one side turns is that not right or is it supose to be like that??? help lol Linda

@lindacrnll Yes all cars do that on front wheel drive and rear wheel drive. ever seen cars stuck in the mud and only one wheel spins an the other does nothing? thats because it doesnt have posi-traction posi traction locks both wheels when one spins faster than the other but thats usualy in sports cars, pickups and such. you could get that installed aftermarket but its expensive and unnecessary for a geo metro since they cant barely do a burnout at take off and makes turning weird
