Its the day before the big day, the Lions play Harpeth tomorrow night at the Lions Den. They were also selling playoff shirts today at CCHS, they will be at the Pep Rally tonight selling, if youd like to show your spirit. We caught up with Coach Shrink and he had this to say.

Not only was it a big day getting ready for the playoffs tomorrow night, but the students had been hard at work getting ready for Veterans Day. The Veterans Day ceremony will be November 13th at the school. One thing though: If the Lions win the playoffs tomorrow night, they will advance and play November 13th, against the winner of the Smith County and Pearl Cohn game.

The Lions Den, or officially the Fred Schwartz Field, is drying up after the 2009 Mud Bowl. John Jacobs, a football dad who marked the field for the last game stated yesterday, Hopefully by this evening the battle scars will gone, already a BIG improvement! GO LIONS!!!

Then we stopped to talk with Sam Booth, at the Christmas House on John Bragg Highway, and theyre selling yard art this year.

The orange Worker signs were out as TDOT was maintaining John Bragg Highway today.

Have you wondered who Marlin is? Marlins, the new car lot in town, is located at the old Jennings car lot beside Middle Tennessee Natural Gas. They take cash and do on the lot financing. (he speaks)

Michael Railling, Cannon County Director of the Health Department, stated they are planning an H1N1 clinic for priority groups. Just as soon as clinics are planned they will be letting us know.

6 months through 24 years, pregnant women, persons who live with or care for infants age 6 monts or less, healthcare and emergency medical services personnel and people from 25to 64 who are at risk because of chronic medical conditions.

The grass was manicured today at the Brown Spurlock Park which may be its last cutting of the season.

A witness stated he believed the sun that was setting was a factor in the crash that occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m., Thursday at the John Bragg Highway and Highway 64 intersection.
The witness stated that gray Toyota Matrix was crossing John Bragg Highway under the flashing lights headed toward Highway 64 when she collided with a black Toyota Tundra that was headed toward Woodbury on the John Bragg Highway.

The Tundra was occupied by James White and an unidentified passenger. The Matrix was being driven by Georgia Brandon.

Cannon County EMS transported Brandon to the Murfreesboro Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.

Cannon County Sheriff's Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol worked the accident.
