the 4.8 and 5.3 are the pretty similar, except the 5.3 is just a stroked 4.8. no big power difference, lol no big gas difference. i have a 4.8 and love it, she'll get down.

i have an 06 classic ext cab 4x4 4.8l with a 7 inch lift, 36 inch BFG KM2's, 4:10's, magnaflow cats with cherry bomb muffler and K&N intake and i tow my 24 foot pontoon boat all the time during the summer. it has no problem getting to 70mph and cruisin.
