"Dancing In The Dark" (1931)
Victor Salon Orchestra
Conducted by Nathaniel Shilkret

From the Musical Revue "The Band Wagon"

I recorded this using a free program called "Audacity" but I couldn't get my Equalizer to connect. Please let me know what you think of the sound quality. Thanks. :)

  • Just beautiful

Concert Series, vocal by Frank Munn.

  • Yoiu sound quality needs no equalization, it is excellent.. Some background on two of Bandwagon's supporting cast

Helen Broderick:: Mother to actor Broderick Crawford, who started out as a comedian in the movies (The Black Cat 1942 w/ Hugh Herbert)

Tilly Losch: Interpretive danceuse, who appears as the Dancer in the opening scene of "Duel in the Sun" Pearl's Mother, and is killed with her Lover (Sidney Balckmer) by her husband; the Character played by Herbert Marshall (Pearl's father).

  • This show may have been the last time Adele and Fred danced together.

Fred must have been emotional doing this number with Cyd Charisse years later.
