Assault Gun toting protester at Obama rally in Phoenix Arizona

-R-E-A-D- this whole description before posting.. These crazy ANTI Obama protesters are carrying assault weapons !!. It is LEGAL in Arizona to carry machine guns with a Class 3 permit, which Sheriff Joe will sign for a $3000 application fee... They came into the Pro Obama supporters.. They are chanting "End The War" A police women identified this gun as "Fully Auto" and he had a Class 3 permit. Google "arizona Title II gun", however I do not think it actually was fully auto.

I am 100% NOT opposed to carry guns. I enjoy shooting. However what this guy did was irresponsible and provocative. This was wrong.

This HURT the NRA and Libertarian causes by attracting so much bad publicity.

Its already legal. What exactly are you trying to support ? What would your goal be ? To scare a bunch of people who dont carry weapons ?.. Having a whole buch of people showing up at a Obama meeting would just cause lots of bad publicity and could lead to getting open carry and/or assult weapons banned.

First of all "assault" is a behavior and it would help if people stop applying actions to inanimate objects, guns cannot assault people, people can but not guns so it is a rifle, a semi-auto rifle as opposed to a bolt action but it is a rifle non the less and the word assault is incorrectly applied to it. Secdondly the guy looked like he could've been part of the security detail

The man makes the point you seem to have missed in an interview. People don't exercise their rights often enough and many times when they choose to they are accosted and arrested by ignorant police officers who don't even know the laws they are supposed to be enforcing. It serves as a reminder and I would say exercising your rights is an important part of maintaining them and I believe the NRA is in support of exercising ones rights and doesn't feel this negatively impacts them.

there is no such thing as an 'assualt' weapon..... are there assualt knoves, assualt bats, assualt poison, assult vehicles that go around killing people - no there is not.... poeple kill people and they find whatever means neccessary or to their liking to do so.

@doct1400 You can't make something "hard to get". You can make them "legally hard to obtain" but if guns were outlawed, people would either find ways to obtain them or kill using other methods. It's not a gun problem, it's a nut problem. The AK I own has saved my life as well.
