Bethlehem Riots 1

Video taken on 10-23-2007. This is the beginning of the riot. I am in a refugee camp above Hebron Street in Bethlehem near the Church of the Nativity. From the camp, you can see hundreds of young Palestinians chasing an Israeli humvee on Hebron Street. From my estimates, most of the demonstators were between the ages of 10-20. They threw rocks and waved resistance flags as the Israeli humvee drove away.

This demonstration was the result of many factors. 1) Many Orthodox Jews were worshipping at Rachel's Tomb (highly protected holy site) in Bethlehem. 2)A Palestinian man was killed in a Israeli prison during a riot over the weekend. 3) On the night of October 22, a bomb was thrown at the IDF (Israeli Defense Force)in Bethlehem. No one was injured. However, the IDF responded by arresting 19 suspects over Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

I have a question for you... why does all the little kids going towards Israeli forces ?

It's easy to take a little child and film him next to a soldier... and then say how Israeli forces are mean... there is a side that people don't see and it's the Israeli side.
