Machines of Iron traveled to Australia in April 2000 to ride the rails behind vintage steam and diesel locomotives, NSWGR 38 Class 4-6-2 Pacifics, Victoria Railways R Class 4-6-4 Hudsons, NSWGR 42 Class Co-Co GM Diesel, and NSWGR 442 Class Co-Co Alco Diesel.
On Easter Sunday our crews visited the Ballarine Peninsula Railway and were there as the crew fired up the railroad's 2-8-2 and 4-6-0. It's non-stop action as we travel the beautiful Australian countryside.
What fun.
