THANKYOU SO MUCH. . .I bought the book a few months ago (I am 5 and a half months pregnant). . .I totally agree with you; you can birth your own child. . .i have had a total nighmare with the midwives. . .I won't go into it now, but they made me feel depressed and anxious and totally incompenent. . .I agree with everything you say. . .hospitals are just not healing for the spirit nor the soul

@inna3000style Yay! I'm so happy to hear that you purchased the book. I'm surprised that midwives are messing things up. Everyone around me was so against my natural birth that I stopped telling people and decided to find friends on social networking sites like youtube, facebook, and twitter. Please feel free to friend me on facebook (contemporary mami) and I can recommend a few communities that helped me. Enjoy this time! I'm so excited for you!

I had my daughter pretty young & didn't have a very good experience- now I am 32/married, pregnant with my second. I get what u r saying- a book like this (I read her latest book, not this one yet ;) is confidence building- which alleviates fear. I definitely was missing that the 1st time around...I had a friend who didn't learn about c-sections bec. she didn't believe in them- but had 1 in the end after a long labour, so I'm going to learn about that also. Keep it up Ma, your vids are great!

A wonderful book from my hero and the Mother of modern midwifery! I think it is so great that you are informing yourself about birth and exploring all of your options. If you don't know your options, you don't have any!! You made some great points. I am a doula and its so great to see a mama that's so educated, I can't wait to watch your other videos!

And, yeah, C-section rates are crazy in the USA and approaching epidemic levels around the globe, with China at like 46% C section rate!

But natural mamas like you can help restore some sanity to this world. Go, go, go!
