Graduated high school in 1967, bought a 1946 Chevy tudor sedan, lowered it , had dual pipes put on and cruzed all weekend at 27 cents a gallon after going to McDonalds for 15 cents each for burgers.

Check this out... I was on the Huggie Boy show a few times. Was the last song of the show. Huggie Boy had the Chicano version of American Band Stand, except we did'nt have to wait for Saturday to see the show. channel 52 Mon. thru Friday. That was in the 70's

Our generation would cruise too if gas wasn't 3.00 a gallon! As apposed to back in the 60's and 70's when it was under one dollar. If gas was .50 cents today kids would flood the streets.

I recall seeing this band playing at Artesia Park one night long ago. This song was also played on local stations frequently. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories.
I lived in So Cal during the '60's, graduated from high school in '66...you know, we were always out on the street cruising! Today kids say they are going to "hang out"...which is fine. But in those days you could cruise all night, see and be seen, meet up with friends in a drive-in parking lot, or wherever. And this song? It has been missing on here!!!! I am so happy that THUMPRECORDSMUSIC...put it one here! It rocks, and reminds me of cruisin' on those warm So Cal nights long ago!!
