  • How do these bikes hold up on reliabilty? I've heard of them doing over 17000miles but none above that?

  • We've only been a Husky dealer for approx 9 months, no problems with the new ones we've sold and we've had a few older version in for service...valves always seem to be in spec., etc. I think if reliability is what you are looking for the 610 is a Great choice.

  • is that the stock exhaust? pretty loud

but nice video.. plan on making the TE610 my next bike

  • that is the stock exhaust, I had the mic hanging out the camelbak, down low, so it picked up the exhaust pretty well, you will notice the other video that once up to speed the wind took-over. while loud on this video, the stock exhaust is plenty legal (under 96db), its just not a very good camera/mic system being used.

  • I have a 95 and 96 model (splash oil) and they are still awesome bikes. Power is excessive. Kick start only isn't too bad as long as carb is clean. New bikes are more user friendly (elect start), turn better and have dealer support. Mine is rock stable at speed and used parts bikes are CHEAP, cause everyone wants new....suckers!

  • Hey Bike Barn -

Thanks a bunch for the review and video. Can I ask how tall you are? I was just drooling over a TE 610 at lunch but for an inseam challenged guy like me it is a serious stretch. Also, how did you feel about the seat? After sitting on my cush KLR, that Husky seat felt like a 2 x 4 turned on it's side...

    thanks again!

    J

  • Thanks for the reply. I'm Really tempted too get one (i once had a drz-sm, now i've got a XJR400 and really dont enjoy the riding postion/style.) I miss the small wheels and nippyness.
