Yeah, it can destroy records, but it's a novelty device

to use on some old vinyl for fun.

OH YEH; If you want to do totaly without electricity. wind a string around the base, tie it to a small weight and let the weight fall to the floor. the more weight , the faster it turns. adjust the weight untill you get the speed right.
