Press Conference by the Political FARCE "Patriots For A Moral Utah" Took place on 3/8/10 at the Utah State Capitol Building. Text of her speech:

Hello, thank you, my name is Nora Young and we are here representing the Utah Fair Solutions Initiative. We are not professional politicians. Heck, Im justa professional homemaker living in Murray! We are a grassroots organization of concerned citizens who are alarmed by the direction the federal government is going. We come together in love to denounce lifestyle choices that are inconsistent with the spiritual values of this great state. When we look out with the eyes of love we very clearly see every day that our freedoms are being forcefully taken from us. Our religious liberty is being threatened.

But for those who have eyes of love to see, and ears of courage to hear, the solutions to the crisis dividing our great state are simple and obvious.

Many in this day call good evil, and evil good. And many will call love hate, and hate love. But it is in love that we stand for freedom and the Constitution.

We must not allow the federal government to tell us who we can love and who we cannot love. For when we as employers use our right to work freedoms to fire employees who engage in immoral lifestyles that we DONT love, are we not then doing that for the love of our other workers who love traditional moral values?

It is NOT the job of the Federal Government to mandate that we cant love morality!

And so we approach an issue that has greatly divided our state. And we have witnessed the actions of a thuggish, brutish homosexual lobby that has gagged our legislators. Even our elected leaders are being seduced. One is even growing organic eggs for a lesbian who uses her body like a factory to provide babies for homosexual men who have chosen to engage in abominable practices!!!




And even our great Church has been pressured to support ordinances that encourage deviancy. And where is the outcry? Where is the love of truth and decency and morality? When the very prophets of god have been placed in a political full-nelson headlock and squeezed and squeezed and squeezed until the oxygen is deflated.

Even Apostle Dallin Oaks said while speaking at Harvard University the liberty of religious people are being marginalized all over the place! Cant you see it? If this goes on like it is, then our prophets wont even be allowed to speak at these prestigious colleges anymore!




And we will not be intimidated. We have been under constant assault by bee-bee gun vandals and our sacred plazas have been defiled by kissing deviants. The constant persecution has to stop!

And so we must ask, how will love prevail in the face of all this immorality? Are their fair solutions that can be achieved?

It is the intent of We, the People of Utah to heal the divides in this state currently afflicted on us by members of the homosexual society and give them the compassionate choice to either leave the state or conform to the moral standards of our society. Now we dont hate homosexuals let me make that very clear. We just dont want them to cram their members down our throats.

So in the spirit of altruistic love, we invite all men and women who are inclined toward homosexual behavior to enter into many of the successful reparative therapy programs offered by the LDS Church and other Christian organizations or just leave the state.

And our citizens initiative that we hope to have on the ballot by the November elections, will provide state funding for voluntary relocation. Yes! We will provide train tickets for all! Homosexual havens have been established in New York, San Francisco and Portland. They will all be happier there. And with PRIDE we can continue to wave OUR banner of liberty from the mountain tops of Zion the land of states rights, prophetic legislation and god-ordained heterosexuality!

This is a joke. Go to the site she references which clearly states that it's a joke in their REAL MISSION STATEMENT:

"The goal of this political satire was purely a play off of the many groups, legislators, organizations and religions who speak against the LGBT community."

And it is beautifully delivered. I'm terribly impressed with her delivery and that she kept a straight face throughout.

I guarantee that this is not a joke; we have major politicians in the Senate that hold similar views, always claiming that the constitution was ordained by god (they fail to realize that the constitution grants people freedom of religion, and never mentions that homosexuality is a crime.) These nut jobs claim they love homosexuals; excuse me, but what kind of love rationalizes the kicking citizens out of a state due to life style, which harms no one? none, exactly!!! this is no joke people.

Also, while we're on the subject, fuck Utah. I feel far more comfortable around a gay guy or a lesbian than a Mormon.

The Church of Latter Day Saints makes Catholic abuse scandals look like nothing.

It's all satirical. A lot of Utahn's veil their bigotry under a pretense of 'love'. She says openly what so many people here believe and hide from themselves. This was made in the hopes that people who marginally believe this will be shocked into actually thinking about their opinions. Conservatives are in fact not at all threatened by LGBTQs, they are a afraid of them because they're different so they discriminate against them under a pretense of false morality. She wants us to think!
