  • @nattegirl Just a heads up, Katherine isn't an actual opera singer (she said so herself) and her technique is different from opera singers. She's a crossover singer, I guess? That's why her vibrato is more machine gunesue than Callas, Garanca etc.:)

  • If you want to hear this song performed with actual talent, go watch Elina Garanca's version. That's true talent and control of one's instrument.

  • that gave me goosebumps

  • Operndirektor I think you are the one who has no clue. This girl has great talent. Listen to some of her other music before making such a false statement.

  • I do love her voice for certain songs, but her diction of French is not as good as some of the real opera actresses. Callas, Kozena, Garanca, and Gheorghiu have the best diction concerning French, little pieces are off but I am thankful to say Jenkins isn't as bad as Larmore

  • I don't always understand opera.. I'm sure she's supposed to me amazing.. but I can't help thinking about the Cowardly Lion from Wizard of Oz.. xD

  • She just has no clue, just good looking doesn't make you a singer. This is so terrible, she should be ashamed!

  • oh yeah, Mr/Miss AmhranaiAlain. Part of what you say is true. Judging by your comment, I would say you know your onions when it comes to singing, but you're sort of saying to youtube users that you can go up to the PSTOP panel and sound like my cat with a rocket jammed up his arse and go on to win. We're not all level pegging with Diana Damrau.

  • Yes of course it is a beautiful voice. But if you want to sing at this standard then you must also be judged at the same standard. The truth is that she sings from tone i.e. the sound of her voice. Anyone who goes down this path in singing is taking the false path. There is only one true path in singing. Singing is not about the voice, it is about how you use it. So how do you use it correctly? The spoken word. You sing words not notes. You use your voice in a natural way - without physicality.

  • Great as usual ,A national tresure .

Go away you moaners just enjoy it .
